Personalized Treasure Box

Becca transformed this old second-hand cosmetic case and made it into a five year old's favorite gift! Using scrap booking paper and embellishments, she completely covered the old case and personalized it with letter's to spell niece's name. Once everything was glued in place, she coated it with several applications of diluted Elmer's glue for a protective finish. The fun part was filling it with pads of paper, jewelry, hair bands, special pens and other trinkets that make a girl feel grown up and special.

Sorry! I thought you said you used Elmers. Decoupage is probably much better!

Becca, I wish I was as creative as you are. what a fabulous idea! where did you find the case?

I got the case at a thrift store. It's harder than you think to find one that doesn't smell like a 50-year old makeup. :)
